At the end of 2016, BSH had a worldwide workforce of about 58,300 employees (including trainees). This is an increase of 1,800 employees.

BSH’s future energy costs each year will be EUR 20 million less than they were in 2010. A sign of the success of the company-wide project “Resource Efficiency 2015”.
With revenue growth of about 7 percent, to EUR 13.1 billion, BSH was able to outperform the excellent growth of the last year and is on target to achieve its revenue goal of EUR 20 billion by 2025.
Out of every EUR 100 of revenues, BSH spent EUR 4.40 on research and development. The repeatedly increased rate reflects, among other things, the investment in the transition from analog to digital solutions.
The Supervisory Board of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is, according to the Federal Co-Determination Act (Mitbestimmungsgesetz) made up of representatives of the shareholders and the employees. Taking care of the interests of the employees are one representative for the senior executives, members of the workers’ councils and the trade unions (IG Metall).
