At BSH, we are more than just kitchen enthusiasts, fridge manufacturers, and laundry care experts. We are more than Europe's No. 1 household innovator.
Why? Because we are 63,000 people with one goal. Because we are a trusted partner for millions. And because we make a difference exactly where our core competence lies: in the midst of life – at home.
We provide the solutions that consumers need – whether it’s technology dedicated to saving energy and water, products that can be flexibly rented when needed, or ideas and innovations that make life so much easier for all of us.
With our technologies, we enable consumers to do more than just their laundry, cooking, household chores, or daily routines.
At BSH, we help people around the globe to contribute to a better life and a brighter future. Step by step, day by day.
Because every journey starts at home.
With BSH.
At BSH, we pursue a holistic approach to sustainability, considering three key aspects: Environment, Social and Governance. This is the foundation of our successful business.
To build that foundation, we evaluate and balance these areas:
At BSH, we aim to support climate protection and to save precious resources. Since 2020, all BSH locations worldwide operate CO2-neutral. With our high-quality and energy- and water-saving home appliances as well as with our services, we help to consume in a sustainable manner and to reduce waste.
We at BSH want to contribute to the transformation to a sustainable society and the empowerment of people, because people are at the heart of what we do. We care about the health and safety of our employees and support selected social organizations.
We are committed to sustainability standards, both internally and along the value chain together with our partners.
CDP
The CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) is a non-profit organization that established a carbon disclosure reporting system with a comprehensive database, that can be used by companies and cities to measure their environmental impact, risks, and opportunities in regard to climate change, water security, and deforestation.
More than 18,000 companies are reporting globally, among them our parent company Robert Bosch GmbH. As stated in the CDP’s “Climate Change A List 2022”, Bosch ranks among the 200 companies that are leading the way to a net-zero future.
SBTi
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a partnership between the CDP, UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and the World Wide Fund for Nature. It shows companies how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions in order to contribute to reaching the 1.5°C target. A total of 4,000 companies are taking action with science-based targets.
Our parent company Robert Bosch GmbH uses the technical assistance and expert resources provided to set near-term targets that are in line with the latest climate science. The Robert Bosch Group’s climate protection targets for the 1.5° path were confirmed by the SBTi.
