Gaggenau introduces the flex induction cooktops with downdraft ventilation 400 series.
Frameless. Flush. Flexible.
Munich, October 2017: Gaggenau, the leading luxury brand for professional-grade home appliances, announces the newest addition to the cooktops 400 series: The flex induction cooktops with downdraft ventilation available in one size – 88 cm – with two configurations: the CVL 420 and the CVL 410. Gaggenau has taken its newest concept a step further by creating a cooktop which can be installed without a frame so it lies completely flush with the surface. [...]
To support the new design, the solid stainless steel control knobs have been relocated to the vertical side of the unit, resulting in a timeless integrated appliance, that lies smooth against the surrounding surfaces. Strikingly elegant, the new flex induction cooktops are a testament to Gaggenau’s heritage of German craftsmanship since 1683.
Each version of the appliance is available in two configurations. The CVL 420 offers four flexible induction cooking areas 19 cm by 24 cm: two on either side of an integrated downdraft ventilation in the centre. Each set of two zones can be combined to form a large 38 cm by 24 cm area, perfect for the private chef at home. The CVL 410 offers a three-size cooking zone ideal for the original wok pan and large pots: 21 cm, 26 cm and 32 cm diameter, an integrated downdraft ventilation and two flexible cooking areas.
The white and orange colour scheme of the control panel maintains simplicity and ease of use, further aided by the newly incorporated downdraft ventilation – removing up to 85 percent of aromas, steam and heat as the culinary process takes place. The option to adjust the strength of the ventilation makes this appliance the perfect addition for a kitchen that accomodates guests.
Offering further support, the12 output levels culminate in a maximum of 3700 Watts per cooking zone with booster, with additional functions including a stop watch, short term timer, and frying sensor; ideal for a more precise and healthy frying experience whilst also aiding professional performance.
Whilst there are multiple options for ducting and fans available, the class A energy efficient BLDC remote fan unit, activated charcoal filters and aerodynamic ducting can can be set to three, electronically controlled power levels with intensive mode: presenting a customisable cooking environment to suit varying culinary requirements. An added convenience is a six minute run-on function whereby the fan continues to quietly ventilate the area for up to six minutes, once the private chef has finished cooking, to ensure the kitchen area maintains the perfect atmosphere for hosting guests.
Maintenance is simple: the metal grease filter and stainless steel closing element are dishwasher safe.
Flexible cooking areas and powerful ventilation is achieved within an integrated flush fitting appliance that blends seamlessly with the kitchen countertop, the perfect kitchen appliance solution that meets both practical requirements and visionary needs.
